Panoramic helicopter flight
Flights leave from the La Daille heliport at the entrance to the resort: you are airborne two minutes after boarding, with no transfer down the valley. A useful clarification, because we are often asked: the Tête de Solaise, the resort's other landing point, is high on the mountain, seasonal in use and currently restricted, that is not where you will leave from. What you see changes entirely with the format. The short circuit crosses the Vanoise glaciers, which are minutes away. The Mont Blanc circuit is another exercise altogether, forty-five minutes out to the massif, and along the way you grasp just how much of the Tarentaise is high mountain. A word of candour, better heard beforehand: this flight depends entirely on the weather, and in winter the windows are short. We do not take off into a haze that would have you paying for a grey ceiling, and we would rather move you a day. When the window is good, it is best in the morning.
The options
The Vanoise circuit
The short format. You lift off from La Daille, gain height over the ski area and fly across the glaciers of the Vanoise park. It is the flight we recommend for a first time, or when the weather window will not allow anything longer.
The Mont Blanc circuit
Forty-five minutes out to the massif and back. It is a genuine journey, not a lap: you leave the Tarentaise, run along the massif and return. It needs a clear day along the entire route, which happens less often than people imagine, hence our habit of holding the decision until the morning itself.

A helicopter is chartered by the flight: the length of the circuit and the aircraft chosen make up most of the price, and filling the cabin mechanically lowers the cost per person. The Mont Blanc circuit stands apart because it is long, forty-five minutes in the air, and a distance that is paid for in fuel. We always charter privately: you never share the cabin.
