The Refuge de Solaise's two quick addresses, and the right call on the day you do not want to sit for an hour. Le Petit Refuge serves house pizza, pasta and salads facing the peaks of the valley. La Cabane deals in honest, generous sandwiches, the Savoie diot hot dog and the raclette-and-cured-ham roll are the best illustration. Access is exclusively by cable car from the snow front. Service from half past eleven to half past three: after that, you ski down.
You lunch here in ski gear, boots on, as everyone does and nobody will look at you. Just bring an extra layer for the terrace, you cool down quickly once you sit.
