La Folie Douce Val d'Isère

At two thousand four hundred metres, at the top of the La Daille gondola, Val d'Isère's Folie Douce is the brand's most complete mountain village: several tables, tasting cellars, and above all the terrace. The cabaret starts at one (dancers, musicians, singers) and by three the place tips into an open-air club, skis still on. You come for the experience, not the quiet, and you have to own that: it is loud, it is spectacular, and it remains one of the things my clients recount when they get home. You ski back down, so we set the timing and the driver waits at the bottom.
