L'Empreinte sits at the foot of the Grand Pré chairlift, in the quiet part of the ski area, reached by the Collet and Génépi runs. That is exactly its value: at midday, when the terraces of the central sector overflow, this one breathes. The house runs at two speeds: a snack counter for those heading straight back out, with pizzas made on site, and a proper bistronomic restaurant service, everything prepared in house by the chef. Large terrace facing the border range. Open nine to half past four, every day of the season.
You lunch here in ski gear, boots on, as everyone does and nobody will look at you. Just bring an extra layer for the terrace, you cool down quickly once you sit.
