L'Edelweiss sits on the blue Mangard run, above Le Fornet, and it has been the Bonnevie family's house for more than twenty years: René, the neighbouring table, was born from it. Lunch only, in two seatings, at a quarter past twelve and at two: careful French cooking that does not give up the mountain classics, with gluten-free options, in a warm room open to the valley. It is one of the most requested addresses in the sector. Without a booking made well ahead, you do not get in.
You lunch here in ski gear, boots on, as everyone does and nobody will look at you. Just bring an extra layer for the terrace, you cool down quickly once you sit.
