Parapente au-dessus de Megève

In winter you take off on skis from Mont d'Arbois or, for the long flight, from Mont-Joly: a few metres of glide and the ground leaves. It is gentler than a launch on foot, and it is what makes winter paragliding accessible to people who would never have run off a slope in summer. You land on the Mont d'Arbois golf course, which becomes one wide white field under snow, it is hard to imagine anything more comfortable. There is also a launch at the top of the Rochebrune cable car, shorter, which we fall back on when the weather closes in. No experience is needed, the pilot does everything, and children fly from five or six. The only real variable is the air: we place flights mid-morning and postpone without argument when the day is not right.
