Heli-assisted off-piste skiing
Let us say it plainly, because it is the point nobody explains clearly: heli-skiing is banned in France. Article 76 of the 1985 Mountain Law prohibits dropping passengers for leisure purposes in mountain areas, and the ban has since been extended to picking them up. What we arrange is therefore not French heli-skiing: the helicopter lifts off from Courchevel's altiport and sets you down on the other side of the border, in Italy, where the practice is legal. You ski Italian valleys with a mountain guide, on slopes no lift serves. It is the most committing outing we offer in the Alps, and the one that demands the most preparation: confirmed off-piste ability required, snowpack conditions studied the day before, and postponement without argument if the snow does not allow it.

€800 – €2,000 per person
What moves the price is the number of drops up top: a single descent sits at the bottom of the range, a day of repeated rotations at the top. A group of three to four is generally needed for the outing to be viable, the helicopter is paid by the flight, not by the passenger. The mountain guide, who is mandatory, and the avalanche safety equipment are included.
