Accès au Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters

It is a major tournament on the tour, and the finest setting of the clay season: courts terraced above the sea with Italy in the distance. One detail that matters and that almost nobody notices: the Monte-Carlo Country Club is not in the Principality. It is at Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, in France, a few hundred metres from the border, the tournament carries the Monte-Carlo name for historical and commercial reasons. It changes nothing about your day, but it changes everything for your driver and your timings. On access we are plain: the official ticket office is public and we hold no privilege there. Our usefulness lies elsewhere: securing decent seats once the best have gone, building a complete day with transfer and lunch, and sparing you the parking, which is this tournament's real nightmare. Our advice, and it is worth money: come early in the week. The first rounds are played on several courts at once, you can move about, you stand a few metres from the players. On the Sunday you see one match and a crowd.
