The Niwaki

The Niwaki is the Japanese table I hand over when someone asks for sushi, real sushi. Its team won the European sushi championship in 2023-24, and it shows in the knife work. The room, at the Palais de la Plage, blends pale Japanese wood with a very Mediterranean light. It could have been pastiche, and it is not. Open for lunch and dinner, which matters: few tables of this level serve lunch in Monaco.
Smart casual, nothing more ceremonious.
