Le Cap is the starred table of the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, and Yoric Tièche cooks a Provence he knows by heart: red mullet, local vegetables, olive oil, nothing imported for effect. You dine indoors or on the terrace shaded by Aleppo pines, the park in front and the sea beyond, one of the finest settings on the coast, no argument. The wine list runs to some six hundred references. One star, a real one, and service that intimidates nobody.
We advise a jacket for men, no tie needed. Nothing is imposed, but it is a room where dressing up is part of the pleasure.
