Hyde Beach is the Mondrian's beach: Italian classics, cocktails and an energy that climbs through the afternoon, facing the Mediterranean. It is one of the liveliest beaches on the Croisette, to recommend to those who want lunch to drift into something else, and to avoid if you are after quiet. The best spots go early in season: we book the day before.

The dress we advise

Swimwear and a sarong at lunch, nobody minds. Just bring a shirt or a kaftan for the table, and something to keep the sun off.
